Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens

Polly Conway Chapter, NSDAR, hosted Wreaths Across America at the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens in Beebe, Arkansas. The Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) from Beebe High School presented colors. We had a goal of 45 wreaths and surpassed it. It was so cold and wet but worth it. Veterans Shoebox Drop Off

Thank you to Publishing Concepts, Inc., for being the central Arkansas drop-off location for Veterans Christmas Shoeboxes. They have made it so easy to drive up, park at the door and drop-off all of the shoe boxes. Polly Conway Chapter, NSDAR, regent and retired United States Air Force (USAF) veteran HODAR delivered Veterans Christmas Shoeboxes.

Veterans Day Program

Three members and one HODAR attended the Veterans Day program at Beebe’s Veterans Park. The Beebe High School Air Force JROTC raised the flag. They also attended the Veterans Day program at Cabot, Arkansas American Legion Post 71. The guest speaker was Colonel Noe of the Army Corp of Engineers, Little Rock District. The Cabot High School Air Force JROTC Rifle team performed. For more pictures, click here.

Day of Service

DAR Day of Service

Bradley, Arkansas

 

For the DAR Day of Service, six chapter Daughters decided to honor the early Pioneer History of the Bradley and Conway Families in Arkansas. First Lady Mary Jane (Polly) Bradley Conway arrived in Arkansas as a child with her family. The Bradley Family traveled from Tennessee in several flatboats down the Mississippi River and across the Red River to the Arkansas Territory in 1818. Our chapter regent presented a small program on the life of Polly Conway. On the return trip, the chapter Daughters stopped at Burge’s in Lewisville, Arkansas for lunch.  For more pictures, click here.

Polly Conway Chapter, NSDAR, Official First Meeting

Polly Conway Chapter, NSDAR met today for the first time after being approved as a new chapter by NSDAR on July 5, 2021. The regent of the Frederick Van Patten Chapter, NSDAR, in Searcy, Arkansas, officiated the service. New officers were installed and bylaws were approved. For more pictures, click here.
